In 1964, the very first Ford Mustang rolled off the assembly line — and a legend was born. Most automotive historians and Ford insiders agree that the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter plane served as the original inspiration behind the car’s name. While a few alternate origin stories still circulate, one truth has never changed: the Ford Mustang is the original American Muscle Car.

From its earliest designs to the sleek, aggressive forms of today’s Cobra, Shelby and Saleen models, a Mustang is unmistakable. Its silhouette, stance, and attitude are instantly recognizable — and impossible to confuse with anything else on the road.

For more than 20 years, Echelon Graphix has brought that same unmistakable identity into our work. By combining laser-focused attention to detail with a deep respect for Mustang heritage, we’ve created some of the finest Mustang inspired AlumiGraphix car show display boards, and automotive artwork in the United States.

Our signage is produced on premium gloss paper or UV-coated matte and gloss aluminum substrate. We describe them as generational artwork — built to endure, meant to be passed down, and engineered to maintain both structural integrity and color fidelity over time.

What we DO NOT USE are lightweight PVC displays commonly seen at shows — materials that fade, warp, or blow away after only a few seasons. When you commission an Echelon Graphix display or artwork, you’re investing in a permanent extension of your vehicle’s presentation — a piece designed to last one generation, or even two, when properly cared for.

On this page are some of our very best Mustang car show display boards and photographic artwork, created to honor the power, heritage, and legacy of the Ford Mustang.  Play hard, and drive safe!

Where Mustang Became Myth

At Echelon Graphix, our Shelby displays and artwork honor that legacy through cinematic design, period-correct detail, and museum-grade presentation—crafted not as signage, but as heirloom artwork worthy of the name it bears.

The Classic, Fastback, and Bullitt Mustangs represent the era when Mustang identity was forged — defined by unmistakable silhouettes, mechanical honesty, and a presence that transcended generations. From early coupes and fastbacks to culturally iconic models like the Bullitt Mustang, these cars became symbols of motion, individuality, and American performance long before modern marketing ever existed.

Characterized by timeless proportions, rear-drive balance, and a design language rooted in purpose rather than excess, these Mustangs remain some of the most recognizable performance cars ever produced. The Bullitt Mustang, immortalized both through the 1968 movie and motorsport culture, elevated that identity further — blending understated aggression with enduring style to create one of the most respected Mustang expressions of all time.

At Echelon Graphix, our Classic, Fastback, and Bullitt display boards and automotive artwork are crafted to honor that legacy with precision and restraint. Each piece emphasizes period-correct detailing, accurate historical context, and disciplined composition — ensuring our Mustang artworks are presented as icons, not a novelties. Whether showcasing a restored classic, a fastback performance build, or a Bullitt-inspired tribute, our work preserves the authenticity that defines these legendary Mustangs.

Every display board and artwork is executed with integrity, allowing form, motion, and identity to speak with crystal clearly.

Beyond Classification ~ Defined by Impact

Some builds don’t belong in a single category.

This final section represents vehicles and projects created outside traditional class lines—cars defined by heritage, performance lineage, and purpose-driven storytelling. From Saleen and Roush performance icons to legacy restorations and promotional commissions, these works demanded a different design mindset.  There are no templates here.  No recycled layouts.  No visual shortcuts.

Echelon Graphix engineered each piece to match the identity of the build—whether honoring a historic marque, elevating a modern performance brand, or delivering a promotional statement meant to command attention on the floor. These designs balance restraint with authority. They respect legacy while asserting presence.  They don’t shout—they stand.  This is where branding meets craftsmanship.  Where reputation is visualized, and where the work speaks for itself.
